Artist's Comments

Do you ever wonder why Andrew Lloyd Webber decided to change the manager's name from Armand Moncharmin to "Andre"?

I'm sure M Moncharmin and M Firmin Richard wonder the same.

I've been one to assume it may be because "Andre" is easier to sing then "Armand".

As you have more then surmised, I have created a balance between the three in RM, as M. Andre Pavarotti (no relation) is the most current manager of the Opera.

[Edit] I thought that this was one image that could use a face lift. I hope you all like the new and improved version, with the up-to-date designs of the original managers.

ha ha, very good point, I did notice a bit of a name difference when I was reading the book (I was introduced with the play.)
But of course, in theplay'sdefense Andre is alot easier to rhyme then Armand

Great job as usual.

:XD: I thought the name change was a bit odd, but didn't think much of it. Erik is blamed for everything. Then again it usually is his fault.

I have NO idea why he changed it. Armand is JUST as easy to say as Andre...Armand is a better name too! (In my opinion anyway)...

The part that always makes me laugh is when the ballet girls blame the Opera Ghost for stealing their powder puffs.
