The Silent Charity Auction for Operation Smile has begun!
It's about time IG gives back to the community. And even though I try to preach love and tolerance of inner beauty, and focus not what is on the outside, who am I to deny a smile to a wonderful child. I want to try to make a significant donation if at all possible. So, I hope that all of you (even if you cannot participate in the bidding) will advertise the auction on your personal sites and pages. So what is the bonus of this auction next to charity? I have purchased a 2GB Sansa MP3 player (Regular $80 value) and will be loading it with songs from my playlists. They will feature songs from popular artists, as well as long forgotten melodies. There will be some crew recordings from the Requiem Mask cartoon, and finally, a preview recording for the new Phantom book "Dies Irae", the book that inspired Requiem Mask, read by the author herself. I will be taking bids through private notes and e-mail ( irongibbet@yahoo.com ), so that I can keep track of things cleanly and privately. For current bidding updates, check: the Live Charity Page! Also, if you cannot or do not wish to participate in the high bidding, I encourage all of you to make donations on your own through the Operation Smile Website. |
