Welcome to our humble little DeviantART gallery!
This is a collaborative effort.  We are not a single artist.
We are many artists working together as a studio.

Please keep that in mind as you browse.

About Requiem Mask:

We are illustrating a comic adventure in which Erik has been given a second chance in the present, but he must deal with the fact that he is now a real ghost, and that he has a companion who is determined to see that he will not fall again.  Will he be doomed to relive his past?  Or will he find peace and redemption?

About The Refuge:

The Refuge is a story about true love, destiny, and the darkness of man.  When Alex washes up on a beach, she has no memory of who she is or where she came from.  She joins a militia group hoping to eventually regain her memory, but along the way she meets super soldiers who have bizarre super powers, and realizes that the military group is indeed creating them.  Are their intentions good or evil?  Find out by reading The Refuge!

Thank you for your interest, and to our dear devoted readers, our most humblest gratitude.

:bulletblack:APRIL CONTEST RESULTS!:bulletblack:

Well, that was indeed horribly amusing!  I feel kind of guilty, in fact, that we can't give awards to everyone... because those were all just incredibly fun.  SO fun in fact, that we thought to do a little extra somfin'-somfin' for EVERYONE -- but more on that after the announcement!

Fan Art Contest WINNERS!

That's right, I said WINNERS.  We were so impressed with what was submitted that we couldn't choose just ONE.  Everyone did a great job, and we always love seeing fanart... shows us that we're doing something right that we can inspire others, you know?

But without further adieu, the winners are:

First Place:
by :iconnecrosisdi:
We loved the dimensions on this, there was a lot going on, and it was very deep to instill that feeling of anger.  Plus, I love the rotting corpse of Phillipe in the corner there.  *Laughs*

Second Place:
by :iconxxacantheaxx:
The purples are really super pretty, and it has such a whimsical feeling.  AH!  And I only just noticed the little E+C on the tree!  But which C is it?  Oh-ho!  That's the mystery...

SO!  Again, thanks to everyone that entered!  They were all amazing entries, but like Highlander says, there can only be ...wait... well, only 2 in this case.  If the winners would like to send us a note letting us know which of the fabulous prizes mentioned in the original journal they would want, then we will make arrangements!  That'd be great.  Whoot!

Fan Fiction Contest WINNERS!

This one was just as tough as picking the winners for the fan art contest... but once again, there can only be 2.  We thoroughly enjoyed the fanfictions, it gave us something to do before going to bed.  And as with the last fanfiction contest, we've chosen one particularly funny scene (that we remembered after going to sleep) to illustrate a single panel from.  But that's STILL not the awesome thing for everyone... it's pretty awesome, but not awesome ENOUGH...

Anywho,

...Maybe we're just hormonal or something right now, but this actually made us cry.  o__o  Read it now.  DO IT.  *peer pressure*

Second Place:
RM Contest Entry: Fear Chelsey looked around as she walked into the Opera House. She looked over to her left to see the Daroga, walking causally with his hands in his pockets.

"What are we doing here?" Chelsey asked. Daroga looked over at her curiously.

"What are you talking about, Erik?" Daroga asked, "We are here to meet with Raoul and Christine. We lost them in the city. Don't you remember?"

"Erik?" Chelsey asked, "I'm Chelsey!"

"Are you feeling ill?" Daroga asked, "Is being alive again making you confused?"

"Alive again?" Chelsey asked, "What in Faust are you talking about?" She blinked a few times in surprise. That sounded like something Erik would say!

It hurts your head for the first couple paragraphs, but then you figure out what's going on, and if you're warped like us, you can't stop laughing.  BUT, I think the insanely cool part of this piece, is that if we wanted to, ...and you never know... we might have to credit ~IcyRoseStar for putting in another trippy scene to the cartoon... because it fits perfectly into the timeline.  Kudos!

YAY!  And once again, if you guys could send us a note telling us which prize you would like, we'll get some of this stuff underway!

That AWESOME thing I mentioned!

We did something different this time... When Alex and I read a story, we don't read them like... normal human beings would.  We take EVERYTHING literally... we act it out... and we change things as we go...  But no one believes us.

...So this time.  We recorded it.  I will load it shortly.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. You're a great artist! How do I draw like you?
Well, it helps that we're several artists working together. Iron-Gibbet Studios is a collection of multi-talented people, from writers to artists to actors. As for drawing like us? Study, study, study. PRACTISE!

2. Can you make some tutorials?
Not really. Takes too long, and the hardcore tutorial seekers yell at us for not doing it well enough. Besides, like any good artist out there can tell you, it's more about learning for yourself, not learning to be like someone else.

3. What program do you use to do your art?
We use several different programs depending on what is required for the piece.
Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, SAI Painter, Open Canvas and Art Rage.

4. Can I use your work on my page?
No, sorry. The only way we allow that is if you give us full credit and a link back. But we really, REALLY prefer that you didn't.

5. When are you going to update RM?
When we get around to it. Truth be told, we all have separate jobs outside the studio, and those jobs get first priority. We will try to stick to a two week schedule, and usually uploads will be on Monday. But there are no promises anymore until the studio becomes our primary source of income.

Frankly, if you bother us about it, then we'll put it off longer.
But if you want us to get our butts going, then pay us money. Because then it'll give us some motivation over our other jobs.

6. Can I join Iron-Gibbet Studios?
Currently, no. It is rare that we end up hiring artists or actors, and when we do it will usually be done in the form of an audition or an interview. We are currently looking for animators to expand our team. If you are interested, please send a resume and coverletter to AmonOmega@yahoo.com. But keep in mind, that at the moment, this is a non-profit studio, and we do not pay! This is merely a means to expand your portfolio or to have a bit of fun.

7. I hate your story. Chelsey's a Mary-Sue, and you're all lame.
So's your Mom! But at least we don't go around telling everyone about it like a whiny, little child! You're entitled to your opinion, but really... This is a professional place, with many small children who participate. So keep it to yourself. We're not forcing you to read it, and I'm sure you can act like an adult and figure out what is appropriate and what is not. If you don't like it, then go somewhere else. Plain and simple.

We will not hesitate to block any persons causing trouble on the page.

8. Can I make fan art for you?
Of course! Just be sure to credit us (or Leroux for that matter) as the original artists, and be sure to send us a link. We display each fan piece on our website.

9. I read something about a cartoon. Where can I watch it?
Nowhere at the moment, as it is still in production. Trust us when we tell you that there will be many advertisements and links to it when it is available. Again, we are still looking for animators. See #5 for instructions on how to apply!

10. I thought this page was all about the Phantom. What's the deal with the other comics?
We never intended our studio page to be devoted only to one thing. If we wanted to create a stricty phantom page, then we would have created something just called RM! Sorry, but if you just want RM updates, then you'll have to get them off the RequiemMask.com website.

Got a question to ask? Send it our way.

how much (if any) of Susan Kay's Phantom do you take into consideration when dealing with the characters?

--
....Pitiful Creature of Darkness.....

:iconiron-gibbet:
Limited amounts. She, as all of us, was/is a fan of Leroux's original work; and there were many liberties taken in her book that we don't necessarily agree with.
