Welcome to our humble little DeviantART gallery!
This is a collaborative effort.  We are not a single artist.
We are many artists working together as a studio.

Please keep that in mind as you browse.

About Requiem Mask:

We are illustrating a comic adventure in which Erik has been given a second chance in the present, but he must deal with the fact that he is now a real ghost, and that he has a companion who is determined to see that he will not fall again.  Will he be doomed to relive his past?  Or will he find peace and redemption?

About The Refuge:

The Refuge is a story about true love, destiny, and the darkness of man.  When Alex washes up on a beach, she has no memory of who she is or where she came from.  She joins a militia group hoping to eventually regain her memory, but along the way she meets super soldiers who have bizarre super powers, and realizes that the military group is indeed creating them.  Are their intentions good or evil?  Find out by reading The Refuge!

Thank you for your interest, and to our dear devoted readers, our most humblest gratitude.

Long time no chat, lovelies!

So essentially, we managed to fall off the face of the Earth for a while there again.  But it was all due to us getting our finances back in order.  We no longer have to worry about loosing our house - BECAUSE NOW CHELSEY OWNS IT!  *power pose*

Also, speaking of Chelsey, er... me... I've also quit my job.  It was a five month run, and I may still be there part time just to help out (has yet to be confirmed) but I've finally managed to get rid of the terrible debt that was keeping me from going back to school.  So, I'll be going to chat with an admissions officer about going back to finish my degree here in my home town!  So that's a good thing for sure.  In the meantime, I'll be home practically all the time, so I've got lots of time to focus on IG stuff including getting RM back up to normal running speed!

We've also been in cahoots with a video game company - and before you get too excited, no, we're not doing a video game for anything IG related - so we're getting some real time studio work and getting our names out there.  Plus, you know, when the game comes out we'll link you all to it so you can see our pretty artwork (mostly Alex's because I'm lazy) in a game!

We're going to be pulling the store down, because we've heard nothing but bad things about the service the site provider has had with all of you, and we'll be finding a new place to deal with.  Hopefully one that doesn't take months to ship a single shirt.  Hopefully this will make it so that the prices will be more affordable as well!

We're also working on re-doing the website.  It'll be more simple and easier for us to keep up with, so it'll be much more fun for you guys to visit.  We've got a tonne of fan art and fiction to add!

Speaking of fan art, How are your RM as an Anime submissions coming along?  Or did you forget?  Hmm... We'll just have to do something better in regards to that to re-spark attention.  That's the last time I post anything from my cell phone.

And finally - in regards to cell phones - I think it's quite cool to have had the chance to text message a few of you.  It's great getting to know you, and help out in ways that we normally can't online.  So, yeah.  That's pretty shweet.

Oh, and I guess most importantly of all:
THERE WILL BE A NEW ISSUE LOADED TODAY!
Once I get home from work and color it.  I have my last day of training my replacement today, and then I'll come home and put a rush on it!  ^_^  So look forward to that!  YAY MONDAY!!  And I suppose Happy Victoria Day to all of our fellow Canadians!

Frequently Asked Questions

1. When are you going to update RM?
When we get around to it. Truth be told, we all have separate jobs outside the studio, and those jobs get first priority. We will try to stick to a two week schedule, and usually uploads will be on Sunday or Monday.

We alternate between Requiem Mask issues, and The Refuge issues so that, in theory, a comic should be released every week.

Frankly, if you bother us about it, then we'll put it off longer.
But if you want us to get our butts going, then pay us money. Because then it'll give us some motivation over our other jobs.

2. Have you seen 'Love Never Dies'?
Bits and Pieces, and that's enough. I think we've suffered enough garbage when we read "The Phantom of Manhattan" which it was based off of. Frankly, we don't care HOW loosely. And no, we're not going to give it the benefit of the doubt. We just plain and simple do not WANT to see it. We believe that Andrew Lloyd Webber has enough of our money, thank you.

3. You're a great artist! How do I draw like you?
Well, it helps that we're several artists working together. Iron-Gibbet Studios is a collection of multi-talented people, from writers to artists to actors. As for drawing like us? Study, study, study. PRACTISE!

4. Can you make some tutorials?
Not really. Takes too long, and the hardcore tutorial seekers yell at us for not doing it well enough. Besides, like any good artist out there can tell you, it's more about learning for yourself, not learning to be like someone else.

5. What program do you use to do your art?
We use several different programs depending on what is required for the piece.
Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, SAI Painter, Open Canvas and Art Rage.

6. Can I use your work on my page?
No, sorry. The only way we allow that is if you give us full credit and a link back. But we really, REALLY prefer that you didn't.

7. Can I join Iron-Gibbet Studios?
Currently, no. It is rare that we end up hiring artists or actors, and when we do it will usually be done in the form of an audition or an interview.

8. I hate your story. Chelsey's a Mary-Sue, and you're lame.
So's your Mom! But at least we don't go around telling everyone about it like a whiny, little brat! Frankly, we don't care what you think. You're entitled to your opinion, but really, you can share it elsewhere. Take a lesson from Disney and Kindergarten, and learn from the phrase "If you can't say nothing nice, don't say nothing at all." Because if we're forced to be nice, then you should be too. Trust me. We don't NEED to be nice. But we choose to be.

So keep it to yourself. We're not forcing you to read it, and I'm sure you can act like the mature adult I'm sure you are, and figure out what is appropriate and what is not. If you don't like it, then go somewhere else. Plain and simple.

We will not hesitate to block any persons causing trouble on the page.

9. Can I make fan art for you?
Of course! Just be sure to credit us (or Leroux for that matter) as the original artists, and be sure to send us a link. We display each fan piece on our website.

10. I read something about a cartoon. Where can I watch it?
Nowhere at the moment, as it is still in production. Trust us when we tell you that there will be many advertisements and links to it when it is available. Again, we are still looking for animators. See #5 for instructions on how to apply!

11. I thought this page was all about the Phantom. What's the deal with the other comics?
We never intended our studio page to be devoted only to one thing. If we wanted to create a stricty phantom page, then we would have created something just called RM! Sorry, but if you just want RM updates, then you'll have to get them off the RequiemMask.com website.

Got a question to ask? Send it our way.

I think it was a video advertising Phantom so people will vote it as best musical in the UK. Something like that.

Dear Chelsey,
I just got your book this afternoon and I just could not put it down, I finished in just a little over 2 and half hours. It was awesome, beautiful, I can't fully explain how I feel. Now something's I didn't understand in RM make sense now though I still don't understand why Erik shows chelsey a vision of Cadence hanging herself...wouldn't he be dead, she didn't hang herself in the book or is that just not in the book?. Regardless your novel ranks up there on my list on fav adapts of POTO l. Also your style of writing was easy to follow which I liked. Just wanted to let you know how I felt on it...
